There is something so special about the Christmas season, it is not just the good mood that everyone is in or the special offers given at the casino and other places but also all of the great movies that are screened on TV and even reruns at the movie theatres. I for one love some of the old movies and hope you enjoy my Christmas Movie List.
I think the all-time best movie for Christmas has to be the Muppet Christmas Carol. Who doesn’t love the crazy wild Muppets and all of their silly comments especially when they have Michael Caine starring as Scrooge and trying to control himself from laughing at every comment that is made?
If Muppets are not your thing then how about spending a good hour and more watching the wonderful magical All I Want for Christmas Movie. This depicts a young child dreaming and hoping for his special gift that he finally received.
Some people prefer a bit of action at Christmas and it doesn’t even have to do with the holidays. They just like to take some time and enjoy the quiet and good cheer that is around us and watch some good movies. Die Hard with Bruce Willis is an action-packed movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat for nearly two hours and there is also some lots of humour added in with Bruce Willis’s sharp tongue.
If fighting is not your scene but you still like suspense mixed with a little cuteness then go for Gremlins. Gizmo was the original Gremlin but it was important that he never saw the light or got wet. Let’s not spoil the movie for you by telling you what happens but suffice to say both of the things that shouldn’t happen did and it was followed by chaos.
For a great family movie that is filled with humour and some action any of the Home Alone trilogies are good but it is best to start with the first movie. The poor little kid is left behind when his parents and family go on vacation and he thwarts the invasion of some nasty crooks with lots of ingenious plans. This is a classic movie that can be watched time and time again.
And if you really want Christmas themed movies then try out Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer or Frosty the Snowman or even a Christmas Carol that are all classic Christmas themed movies with happy endings, cute characters and lovely music in a snowy background. Any of the Christmas Movie List will give you some good warm entertainment on a snowy night of family fun.
